Paper

Roses are red, violets are blue, here’s some paper ideas that you might want to do.

Writing a poem could be a thoughtful way to either confess your feelings or to use as a reminder of how much your valentine means to you. If writing a poem isn’t your thing, you should try to write them a story with the same type of intention either handwrite this or type it out.

If writing in general isn’t your thing then you can make a bouquet out of paper flowers. There’s many great videos for this idea. One of them is the three- part series “DIY Paper Flower Bouquet Tutorial.” by Naomi Leah, which is a great one to watch, you should watch part one, part two, and part three. if you happen to have a lot of pipe cleaners lying around, she also has a flower bouquet tutorial using those.

If you want to do something simple or maybe you want to combine the top two ideas mentioned then you could make a card. If you want to make a pop out flower card, a great video to follow for this is “Pop Up Flower Card Tutorial by Artbygriii.”  Or just add a pop out heart  If your not that handy, just write something nice and cute inside.

If you have a love for art then show off your art skills by drawing or painting something for your valentine. Another option is painting a portrait of the two of you together. It also doesn’t have to be of them, you could do a heart or maybe an animal like a dog or a cat. This doesn’t just apply to paper, digital art is an option too. There’s many apps like Procreate, the decision is up to you.

Crafts

If you’re trying to make something that looks like you’ve spent a lot of time on it and hopefully decent, but you don’t have many options for supplies at home, make sure you watch the linked videos because they’ll tell you what materials are needed for these adorable, heart-shaped, items.

If you have any yarn or you want to try to make something out of yarn then make your special someone a heart plushie or a heart pillow or even a heart keychain then “How to Crochet Cute Amigurumi Hearts: plushie, keychain, & cushion (beginner-friendly!)” is a great three-in-one video.

But there’s many other ways to craft hearts. If crochet isn’t your thing then you can knit someone a heart. A great tutorial for this is “Easy Heart Knitting Pattern 💖 Original by Studio Knit,” by Studio Knit. There are also cute hearts you can make out of clay. You might need to see in the videos what type of clay you need. “How to make a Heart Pinch Pot Easy – Valentine’s Day Gift or Mother’s Day Gift – Easy Clay projects” by Red Ted Art is a beginner friendly item which could be used for more decoration, which is a great one to follow.

For just a cute heart “How to Sculpt Polymer Clay Hearts” by Miniez shop is a quick and easy way to show someone your love. There are also so many other crafts out there to try/do as well.

Baking/Cooking

If your valentine is a foodie then this might seem like the one you might be decent at. Then you can hopefully make them something, well, edible. Some cute ideas are to make really heart shaped anything if it’s a box mix or you’re making it from scratch. It’s a cute and delicious way to show your love and maybe they will let you have a bite too.

Baking them their favorite treat is also an awesome way to tell them you know something about them. If cooking is like a piece of cake for you then attempt to cook a romantic meal or even better their favorite meal or both. If you don’t have the best luck in the kitchen, then just buy a heart shaped treat and try to make it seem like you made it if you’re desperate.

I hope this gave you some ideas to make this Valentine’s Day more memorable.
