Located on Baseline Road, California, a brand new Costco opened its doors on Friday, January 23rd. With the new Costco store, there is also a gas station for gas-powered cars and charging stations available for electric-powered vehicles. Next to the vehicles, there is also a car wash for both types of powered cars. With the brand new opening, this store would be the second Costco in Roseville, California.
“I think it’s very exciting. So much closer for our family here. It’s nice and convenient,” a Costco Customer A said.
With every grand opening, there are a lot of people roaming the store, but it is difficult to get the items needed. The store itself was the same as other Costcos in Roseville; there weren’t any sales or deals advertised for being brand new.
“I think it’s extremely busy here on opening weekend, but hopefully it’ll balance out between this and the other store in Roseville, so that both have more manageable crowds in the future,” another Costco Customer B said.
With the crowds being larger than usual, the parking process was also not optimal.
“They don’t have enough parking for the number of people that are here. We were lucky to get a spot, but we had to walk about a quarter mile to get to the store,” Costco Customer B said.
With every shopper, there has to be a worker making sure every section of the store works smoothly. Just like the shoppers, the employees also found the grand opening great. But there are many different workers for every part of the store.
“I work for CDs, so I’m the person who’s giving out samples, and it’s very open. We have a lot more locations for us to serve people. It’s very nice, very clean. Everything’s brand new. It’s great,” a Costco employee said.
The newest Costco like the other stores is open 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, but closes at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and 6 p.m. on Sundays.
