Granite Bay wrestling’s final home dual ends in victory

Senior Nolan Stabbert faces off against Hunter Gonzalez (Rocklin) in the 172-lb match

  Granite Bay High School’s final home wrestling dual was nothing short of successful, defeating league rival Rocklin High School and Nevada Union High School.

  The Wednesday night event was senior night for Teague Dilbeck, Zach Gillies, Nolan Stabbert, and Ethan Tabaie.

  115-lb freshman Gabe Jensen took home the first win of the night, bringing the team score to a tie of 3-3.

  115-lb senior Ethan Tabai’s performance brought the team score to 7-3, and 134-lb senior Teague Dilbeck won by pin, earning an additional 6 points for the team.

  Sophomore Mason Wilcox won at 154 lbs, bringing Granite Bay up 3 points to a score of 22-13.

  Granite Bay took 3 forfeits, earning a final score of 40-25.

  The team’s final dual of the year will be at Del Oro High School on Wed., Jan. 31 at 6 pm.
