The NFL draft is an event that happens every year to bring future stars into the pro level. The 2025 draft took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26.  Many talented players have been drafted into the next level, and the top talk right now is Cam Ward, who was selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans.

   This year’s draft was the first year where a first round pick wasn’t traded before the draft day. In the previous years, there had been first round picks traded almost every year. Another very talented player, and talk of the draft, also selected in the first round, is Colorado State wide receiver Travis Hunter, who was drafted by the Jaguars. Personally, I think this is a wasted talent. Travis Hunter is a very talented player who got drafted to a not-so-good team, so we will see how it turns out for him. Another impressive wide receiver drafted in the first round as the 8th pick was Tetairoa McMillan. Known for his very good eye-hand coordination and a jump ball specialist out of Arizona State, he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers.

I think the Carolina Panthers will be decent this year with Bryce Young as a quarterback and Tetairoa McMillan as a wide receiver. They should be able to make a pretty good connection, however, a team I really think is going to be good this year is the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles already have had a lot of talent on their team,  such as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and more. However, they picked up some great talent in the draft. They picked up linebacker Jihaad Campbell, a first round pick out of Alabama. I think it will really help their defense.

   Another person who I was surprised got drafted late was Shedeur Sanders. Sanders has some good talent, and for him to be drafted in the 5th round, 144th overall pick is a bit absurd. 

   Overall, I think the NFL is going to have some good talent this year and be really good. Many teams have picked up many good players who are going to make the NFL very exciting to watch.
