It’s that time of year, fall lovers, fall is back! Coffee shops are bringing back their pumpkin drinks and treats. Three of the most popular coffee shops, Dunkin

Donuts, Starbucks, and Dutch Bros have brought back their pumpkin specials for the season. But who is the best place to go for a nice Pumpkin Iced Latte?

Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spiced Latte and Pumpkin Donut

The drink is great for Instagram pictures, the color is a very subtle coffee. The whipped cream is topped with pumpkin spice which gives it a more aesthetic look.

If you like drinks that have a bitter start and sweet aftertaste, this latte is your go to. It’s not too watered down and it has the perfect ratio of sweet and spicy, and you get a caffeine kick at the end. The texture of the drink is very smooth, it doesn’t get stuck when you’re trying to swallow.

As for the donut, it is very dry and crumbly, and even a little underwhelming. When it comes to the icing, it doesn’t taste too much like pumpkin spice, but more like French vanilla with a hint of spice to it. I would rate the drink a 10/10, but the donut a 6/10, as the pastry could use a little more sweetness.

Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin

The presentation of the Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte comes in a clear Starbucks cup with whipped cream and pumpkin spice to top it. It comes in a very iconic cup with the hole for the straw for those who order whipped cream.

The drink has a smooth, kind of creamy texture to it. It doesn’t get stuck in the straw or is rough going down the throat.

The taste of pumpkin in the iced latte is kind of overwhelming and strong. The drink is more bitter than sweet. You taste the pumpkin right when it touches your mouth. The drink is good if you like the strong bitterness of pumpkin. Presentation 10/10  Texture 9/10  Taste 6/10

If you are looking for something a little more filling, I recommend the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin. The muffin’s presentation is decent but the texture is nicely moist with a yummy pumpkin flavor. The pumpkin flavor is the right amount of pumpkin, it’s not overwhelmingly strong but also not underwhelming where you taste no pumpkin. The cream cheese is good and it really compliments the muffin. I rate it a 9/10.

WARNING: Even though the muffin is absolutely delicious, it is VERY crumbly and messy. You have been warned!

Dutch Bros Iced Caramel Pumpkin Brûlée Breve

The iced Caramel Pumpkin Brûlée Breve comes in the normal clear Dutch Bros cup with a clear lid. Instead of topping their drink off with whipped cream, it is topped with cold foam with pumpkin spice on it.

The drink has a smooth but really creamy texture. The ice doesn’t come into your mouth when you use the hole to drink out of, which is a good thing if you don’t want the ice pieces interrupting your drinking . The texture is smooth in the mouth and doesn’t go down roughly while drinking.

The drink is a little bitter and more sweet. The pumpkin is less strong then the other drinks but still is good. If you like pumpkin but not the strong taste then this is the drink for you!  I rate the presentation an 8/10, the texture a 10/10 and the taste a 6/10.

Extra!

Dutch Bros Regular Coffee with pumpkin add-in (Suri Haghi)

You can also order a regular coffee with pumpkin as an add in. I did not like this because it does not have any pumpkin taste. The presentation is very basic and not eye-catching. The texture isn’t that bad but the taste is. The taste of the drink is just coffee. For the entire drink, the taste was a 1/10 and the texture was a 2/10. I rate the whole drink a 5/10.

Out of all of Dutch Bros’ treats, there is not a single pumpkin-flavored one, which is disappointing.

It’s the moment you all have been waiting for: Who Did Pumpkin Better!

If you like a drink with a strong pumpkin taste but not as bitter then I recommend the Starbucks drink better. For yummy treats I thought that the pumpkin donut was better than the Muffin. Even though the muffin was more moist, I enjoyed the taste of the donut better.

If you want a nice cold drink and treat on a hot summer day then I recommend getting the Iced Dunkin Donut Latte and Pumpkin donut. The icing on the donut wasn’t too overpowering. The drink itself is nice to have on a warm fall day, it tastes even better if you add whipped cream and the spices on top, then mix it.
