Pizzeria Classico is a restaurant I’ve been eating at since I was in elementary school. My grandparents used to take me all the time after soccer games and since it was pizza and I was young, I loved it.
I hadn’t been there in a few years because I moved and my grandparents moved, and we generally just didn’t have time, but honestly, it was as good as I remembered.
We started out with a caesar salad which is pretty generic for me, because I could probably live off of caesar salad. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten one I haven’t liked.
The waitress was extremely friendly and the service was really good as well, almost too good. I could barely get halfway done with my drink before it was replaced with a fresh, new one. But, hey, at least I never ran out.
I was there with a party of six people, so naturally we ordered three types of pizzas- the Belly Bomber, Roadhouse, and Pestatoes.
The Belly Bomber and Roadhouse were pretty similar, though the Belly Bomber featured six different types of meat and Roadhouse only had two. They were both delicious. Italian sausage, bacon, meatballs, Canadian bacon, pepperoni and salami debatably go together like peanut butter and jelly, and I would definitely argue for this.
I was so happy we had leftover Belly Bomber pizza. I took leftovers with me to work for my lunch break for multiple days before it was gone. I could probably eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner for at least a week before absolutely hating it.
The Pestatoes pizza was another story, however. The pizza was covered in spinach, and although I like spinach, I’m a firm believer that anything healthy, besides onions and maybe green peppers, should not be on a pizza. I mean, what’s the point of eating pizza if you’re trying to be “healthy?”
And I’m not saying the pizza wasn’t good, because it was, but why eat a salad pizza when you can eat a six meat pizza? If you’re going to eat pizza, you should go all out.
The only real complaint I had was that the bathrooms were not in the restaurant itself. They’re located around the corner in a separate building, and for people that don’t need to use the bathroom multiple times an hour like I do, it really is not a problem.
