  • After Cusano is done getting ready, he helps tie freshman royalty Grand Master Justin Mayotte’s tie.

  • Before walking out, sophomore Grand Master Chase Deblaquiere and Cusano give each other a good laugh and pep talk. “Growing up I was never intrigued with being a part of homecoming royalty” Cusano said, “but after the fun I had this homecoming, it is definitely something I would gladly be a part of again.”

  • Freshman royalty candidate Niko Bannai and sophomore royalty candidate Peter Caldera wanted to be a part of the pep talk between Cusano and Deblaquiere.

  • Cusano is escorted by his Physics teacher, Elizabeth Henderson. Cusano and Henderson perform their pre-made handshake after walking down the aisle. “I felt honored (being elected) and had lots of fun,” Cusano said.

  • All underclassmen royalty candidates sit and wait to see who the Grand Masters will be.

  • Besides being in homecoming royalty court, Cusano had a football game later that Friday night against Rocklin. Cusano started playing tackle football in fourth grade and is continuing his love for the sport throughout high school.

  • Cusano is a big part of the Grizzlies Varsity football team playing running back and linebacker as one of the only sophomores on the team. Along with football, he is also on the Eira National Academy, Blackrock College and Granite Bay rugby team.

  • Cusano’s dad also played football during high school and college with the Oregon Ducks along with his brother, Sam Cusano, who also played football and rugby throughout high school and played Rugby at California Berkeley. Frank Cusano has a big future ahead of him.
