Food Review: Dos Coyotes

Dos Coyotes never disappoints. I confess I’ve eaten there many times, and never once was I unhappy with the food I ordered or the service. Its quick, but not nasty fast food quick. This comfy, sit-down restaurant is full of bright colors and smells.

Dos gives off a certainly more traditional mexican vibe than Chipotle does, making it more desirable, if you are looking for mexican food.  Unless of course if you are a female teenage girl, and “chipotle is your lifeee”.

The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavors are rich and tasty. Admittedly, I’ve been on a bit of a fish taco hype lately, and the Mahi-Mahi Fish taco was quite amazing. The best taco I have ever eaten was actually in Mexico, so sadly, Dos Coyotes just cannot compare to that. However, they did incorporate some of the flavors found in a lot of the traditional food.

I think Dos gets forgotten because it’s slightly pricier, and the location is a little more out of the way for most kids in this area, but it’s worth the little bit of extra gas. Realistically, the restaurant is not that far of a drive, and the opportunity cost of good service and delicious food makes it worth it.

I have never actually eaten anything I didn’t like from Dos Coyotes. I love their unique burritos with salsa, and everyone loves your plain old cheese quesadilla. I’ll say that chipotle has the best quesadillas in the area, however, if you are looking for a more gourmet Mexican dish, I’d highly recommend Dos Coyotes.

But, let’s be real, one of the best parts of Dos Coyotes is their soda machine. The numerous buttons get me more excited than a little kid in as toy store. I think the actual choosing of the soft drink you desire is even better than the actual drink itself. The soda machine is not the only form of drinks available. Dos also offers yummy lemonades and alcohols in glass bottles.

Dos can be on the more expensive side, but their use of real silverware, ceramic plates, and glasses makes it a more welcoming atmosphere for customers.

Dos Coyotes overall is delicious and a pleasant dining atmosphere.
